NOMADS IN IRAN
There are currently 1.2 million nomadic Pastoralists in Iran, Organized in over 500 Tribes and independent clans.
Holidays in the country side, accompanying them is an unforgettable experience period far from crowds and everyday rush which offer a close contact with nature and people, with their culture, wisdom, customs and habits.
Iran has the world`s largest population of nomads. The majority of them are still living and dressing in the traditional ways. Nomads move from their winter locations to summer grazing lands with their animals and move back to their winter locations again.
Some of the ethnic groups in Iran are Persians, Arabs, Kurds, Azari, Gilakis & Mazandaranis, Baluchis, Turkmens, Bakhtiaris and Ghashghais.
